Bekele will be up and running again in Edinburgh JO ATKINSON THE next time athletics fans will get the chance to see Olympic and world 10,000 metres champion Kenenisa Bekele will be in Edinburgh in January. Bekele is now not expected to compete again this year but will be back in action at the Great Edinburgh International Cross Country at the capital's Holyrood Park on 12 January. <a href="http://c.casalemedia.com/c?s=82721&f=4&id=7277471534.800837" target="_blank"><img src="http://as.casalemedia.com/s?s=82721&u=scotsman.com&f=4&id=7277471534.800837&if=0" width="300" height="250" border="0"></a> The 25-year-old Ethiopian also confirmed to guests at his wedding to 22-year-old film actress Danawit Gebregziabher at the weekend that he plans to regain his world cross crown from Zersenay Tadese next year. That would see the world 5,000m and 10,000m record holder making another trip to Edinburgh where the championships will be staged on 30 March, again in Holyrood Park but over a different course.
